The 2018 Great Lakes Logging & Heavy Equipment Expo returns to the Sunnyview Expo Center in Oshkosh, Wisconsin next week. The Expo opens at Noon Thursday, September 6th and runs until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 8th. The event is open to the general public, with one $10 admission fee covering all 3 days. FREE Admission is given for all veterans!
This year marks the 73rd year for the Expo (previously known as the Logging Congress), the first of which was held in Houghton, Michigan on November 1st & 2nd, 1945. Starting in 1948, the event began to move to different locations across the region to encourage greater participation and exposure. The Expo is the midwest region’s largest forestry and equipment event and has been known to feature up to 3,500 daily attendees, with more than 300 display booths spread out over 875,000 square feet.

- 6:00pm – 9:00pm – Kickoff Event at Best Western Premier Waterfront Hotel & Convention Center
Friday, September 7th:

- 8:00am – 5:00pm -Forwarder Operator Challenge Sponsored by GLTPA, Komatsu Forest, Roland Machinery
- 9:00am – 5:00pm -Barko Loader Championship
- 11:00am -Honoring Veterans

- 4:00pm -Tug-O-War: Wisconsin vs. Michigan
