We’ve joined forces with Evergreen Magazine to announce the first of our new Man on the Street interview series. These are a collection of interviews, offering both urban and rural viewpoints- aimed at exploring the public perception of wildfire, forest management, stewardship of public lands, and forest-to-community health.
Dottie, a retired USFS employee and resident of Sandpoint, ID discusses the impact of wildfire locally and regionally and offers some thoughts on how we might manage for more resilient forests and better forest to community health. She identifies several key issues and the need for action and voices concerns regarding the long term effects of wildfire to our health, our forests and our communities.
